Entry #6 A Guide: Finding Your Passion

Image
What is your passion? What is the one thing that inspires you? What is the one thing that fills you with motivation? I never searched for my passion until I realized that my life lacked fulfillment. I feel that the fast-paced environment that life constantly surrounds people with prevents people from truly living. My goal is that by sharing my story, I will be able to provide others with the confidence to learn more about themselves, discover a new hobby, and pursue their happiness as an individual. My story began my freshman year of high school when I was just fourteen years old. I somehow found the courage within myself to venture out of my comfort zone and sign up for my first ever dance class. This was a pivotal moment in my journey to finding my passion. In my experience I have learned that stepping outside of your comfort zone is the most necessary step to finding new hobbies. My freshman year including me learning how to be confident in front of others while attempting to do a l...

Entry #5 Pink Subaru Teenager Commercial

I feel it is fair to say that all advertisements exist for the purpose of promoting a product. I have only begun to understand the tactics involved when companies decide to push a product to consumers. The pink subaru teenager commercial is an excellent example that intrigued me immediately. Linked below is the full commercial on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=30&v=BlfinjxFEYI In this commercial, the audience is shown a slightly comical approach to instill the idea of not texting and driving into teenagers. The entire video is centered around a grown man mimicking a teenage girl's thoughts while texting about a crush in school.  The video begins and I initially saw a middle-aged man sitting in a bubblegum pink car texting. However, I was still unsure as to how the stereotypically pink car matched this man. The actor in this commercial begins by saying, "I'm a teenage girl. My BFF Becky texts me and says she kissed Johnny". This statement he...

Entry #4 Self Improvement To The Rescue!

Image
Lately, I have found myself excessively analyzing myself. I have recently challenged myself to become more introspective and analytical regarding the person I am currently. Yes, I mean my habits, appearance, attitude, and overall outlook on the world around me. During this process, I have detected both positive and negative things about myself. My goal is self-improvement. Today I would like to share a couple tips and tricks as to how I have improved myself overall. The first step, although seemingly miniscule, is to stay properly hydrated. I suppose I never recognized the importance in being hydrated because it seems like a "no-brainer". However, I proudly challenge everyone to test just how hydrated they truly are. Prior to this, my body was accustomed to consuming a lot of caffeine and sugary beverages. I noticed I always felt as though I was lacking the energy I desired to sufficiently get through my daily tasks. Since I have started drinking more water, I have found tha...

Entry #3 Delicious

As I walked out of Olive Garden on that warm weekend night, I allowed my food to settle as I drove home. Although the savory flavors that filled my taste buds at Olive Garden were more than desirable, I had decided once I arrived home that it was time to forget about Italian food for the night. I walked into my stuffy bedroom searching for the remedy to my garlic breath. As I paced towards my desk, my hand met the wrinkly packaging of what would soon be the cure. I began to feel the shiny, plastic wrapper that tightly hugged the small container inside. It looked clearly as though it had been constructed by a machine, judging by the perfect plastic corners that met in the middle of the logo on the front. I held this tiny prism shaped package in my sweaty hands just for a moment before quickly destroying the plastic surrounding it entirely. Before I ate the pearl-colored spherical mouthwash, I could not help but find my nose detecting the fresh smell that the open package invited. I was ...
